Bridge Courses Cum Orientation Programme

1. Orientation / Induction Programmed for B.Tech. Sem – I

An induction programmed for newly admitted students is conducted every year before the commencement of the first semester classes. It is aimed to act as a buffer for the new entrants, with an objective to provide adequate time for the transition to hard-core engineering courses. During this interaction with the faculty and their classmates, the students will be equipped with the knowledge and the confidence needed to take on bigger challenges as future engineers of this country.

It is an initiative adopted to give students the confidence and skills to successfully transit from school to college. It also assists students in their personal development of life skills including test-taking strategies. Students, especially new entrants face many problems for example where and who to deal with post admission administration issues, co-curricular activities and to mix up with classmates coming from different fields and backgrounds. It also familiarizes students with institute and its resources. It fosters positive relationships with peers, faculty and staff at institute.

Aiming at making the engineering smoother for the entrants, RBIENT organizes orientation programmed for the newly entered students every year. Main objective of the program is to provide ample time and platform for the transition of students from school to the professional program. In spite of having very good grades at Senior Secondary level, students need to have exposure of engineering culture. Hence this course proves to be the best opportunity for the students to adapt themselves to new social and academic environment. During this interaction with the experts, faculties and their classmates, the students are equipped with the knowledge and confidence needed to take on bigger challenges as future engineers of this country during the course

Interaction with experts and faculties aimed to build students with various life skills like Self-esteem, Self-confidence, and Time and Stress management; subject orientation and evaluation process are the highlights of this course. The students are also provided with the exposure to various types of visits to adjoining areas, which in turn enabled them to explore their vistas and horizons of hard core engineering industries and social responsibility.

This course helps students from rural background and will brush up their academic knowledge.  Every new entrant would be put through a mandatory induction training to reinforce the fundamental concepts and the required language skills for technical education. The bridge courses in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are introduced for the new entrants, with an objective to bridge the gap between courses studied at senior secondary level and courses they would be studying in professional level course.

The bridge courses will cover typical weaknesses of students in science at the +2 level.
